the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong (HK4As)

Established in 1957, the HK4As is managed and run by an Executive Committee and Sub-Committees. Committee members, elected from the senior management of member agencies, deal with issues concerning the future of the advertising industry and the business of member agencies.There are currently around 21 members which are major advertising agencies sharing common objectives. These include the setting and maintaining of standards of business ethics, enforcing an advertising standards code, acting as a means of arbitration between agencies, and providing a forum for the exchange of views between advertising agencies and other engaged in the industry.

Requirements:
  • The Agency must operate as a full-service agency.
  • The Agency must have a minimum annual billing of HK$40,000,000, derived from at least three clients.
  • The Agency must presently be placing business in at least one broadcast medium and one print medium.
  • If the Agency is wholly or partly owned by a client company, no more than 20% of the Agency's total billings should come from it.
  • A Full Member shall be entitled to attend and vote at all General Meetings and the Annual General Meeting.
  • The membership fee is $4,000 per month.

The Agency's accounts must be made accessible to an independent auditor nominated by the Association, if requested.

All Members shall be entitled to purchase media research data under the Association's joint contract with any research house.

All Members must abide by the Standards of Practice and the Code of Advertising Standards laid down by the Association and the Hong Kong Government respectively.

funny ads! like the hamster one so much! that look really real!! the fish one is too scary!! making a bottle is not a suitable idea i think. using a food that needs a direct contact with our hands is better i think. generally, i think they can bring up the important of "hand-washing" with their products!
